Madalina Petric is a distinguished pianist and educator, originally from Baia Mare, Romania. Her musical journey began at the age of five, quickly gaining recognition through numerous awards in national piano competitions. At just sixteen, she performed Mozart's Piano Concerto with the Satu Mare Orchestra, a testament to her remarkable talent and dedication.
Madalina's passion for music shines through her extensive performance history, which includes solo and chamber recitals, as well as collaborative performances. She began her teaching career in 1998 at the Music Public School in her hometown, where she earned a Teaching Excellence Award in 2003 for her exceptional commitment to education.
In 2004, Madalina moved to the United States to further her studies at George Mason University, where she received the Mason School of Music Scholarship and was named an Honor Recital Winner. Her artistry has been showcased in numerous recitals and events, solidifying her reputation as an accomplished performer and collaborative pianist.
Madalina serves as Vice President of the Northern Virginia Music Teachers Association, where she also chairs the Piano Ensemble Competition and Festival. An active adjudicator in piano competitions and festivals, she is dedicated to fostering musical excellence in her community. She holds a Master’s Degree in Piano Performance and a Master’s Degree in Arts Management from George Mason University, along with a Bachelor’s Degree in Piano Performance from the Gheorghe Dima National Music Academy in Romania.
Currently, Madalina teaches at her studio in Fairfax, VA, where she inspires students of all ages and skill levels. With over six years of experience as a Program Director for a non-profit organization, she has used her expertise in arts management to lead impactful educational initiatives.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Madalina enjoys singing, reading, traveling, and cherishing time with her husband, two daughters, and two beloved dogs. Her unwavering dedication to music and education continues to shape and enrich her community.
